Welcome. I'm glad you're here. Choosing a mayor isn't easy, and I appreciate you taking the time to learn about the candidates before casting your ballot.

Local elections shape our daily lives more than almost any other level of government. The Mayor's decisions affect the safety of our neighborhoods, the condition of our streets and parks, the stewardship of our tax dollars, and the opportunities we create for future generations.

Our city stands at an important crossroads, and I would like to lead our effort to return to the principles that matter most.

A City Hall doing its job will provide exceptional basic services, spend taxpayer dollars carefully, support our police officers, firefighters and first responders, protect our parks and public spaces, and give every neighborhood their fair share of attention and respect.

Above all, local government functions best when it serves the needs of the people -- and not the wants of political insiders or special interests. To maintain my political independence, I will not accept contributions from Political Action Committees like Citizens for Pensacola, which paid for the postcards you may have received.

I don't want to represent a PAC. I want to represent you. Thank you for voting in this election and helping to secure a future for Pensacola that belongs to all of us.
